Buster & SVS Field Manual
World Map PvP Offense & Defense
This guide explains the core mechanics behind World Map PvP, then applies them to practical scenarios — helping F2P and low-spending players stay effective and keep contributing during Buster and SVS through strategy rather than raw power.
Troop Preservation Theory
Keep only enough troops in your DG for your current objective. Any troops that don't need to be in your DG should be stored whenever possible.
(1) Hospital Storage
Four Level 30 Hospitals provide approximately 10,000 hospital capacity. With maxed Medical Assistance (+50%), this increases to around 15,000.
If you completely fill your hospital, instantly heal everything once, then allow it to fill again, you can effectively preserve up to 30,000 troops through your hospital.
(2) Squad Storage
Whenever a squad leaves your base, it takes a full squad of troops with it.
Examples:
- Attack the Capitol, Cannons, or enemy bases.
- Bulldoze.
- Garrison teammates.
- Start an ultra-long rally.
Starting an ultra-long rally also locks those troops, even if the squad never actually leaves your base.
Watch the rally size
Be careful not to let the rally become full; otherwise, it will launch automatically.
Depending on your number of squads, you can remove or lock approximately 8,000–10,000 troops this way.
(3) Emergency Center Storage
A Level 30 ICU can preserve approximately 2,000 troops.
Maximum troop preservation
Total Troop Preservation = Hospital + Squad Storage + Emergency Center
With an empty hospital and full DG, a player who is forced to teleport for the first time can theoretically preserve around 40,000 troops.
Rapid Healing Theory
Take advantage of Alliance Help to greatly reduce healing time.
Instead of healing everything at once, repeatedly heal small batches of troops. This allows you to restore a large number of troops in a short period without consuming Healing Speedups.
If your priority is maximizing troop preservation, however, it's better to use Instant Complete Healing once when your hospital is completely full.
Troop Preservation
Fill your hospital before healing when maximizing saved troops is the priority.
Rapid Healing
Heal repeatedly in small batches when maintaining battlefield endurance is the priority.
Choose between the Troop Preservation Theory (filling your hospital before healing) and the Rapid Healing Theory based on your situation and the current battlefield.
Each approach has its own advantages and disadvantages. Since battlefield conditions change constantly, practicing both strategies will help you make the right decision quickly.
Offense vs. Defense Core Theory
In World Map PvP between players of similar strength:
- The defender generally loses fewer troops (~5%).
- The attacker usually suffers higher troop casualties (~20%).
After a failed defense, each successful attack kills approximately 300–700 DG troops, depending on DG capacity.
Since a base can be ashed and forced to relocate after up to 10 failed defenses, being ashed usually results in approximately 3,000–7,000 troop deaths in the DG.
Whale exception
Whales usually have a stronger Tech Tree, which means their attacks often cause the defender to lose significantly more troops after a failed defense.
Defensive Decisions Based on DG Capacity
Match your defense to how full your DG is and how strong the opponent looks.
(1) Full DG vs. Similar-Power Opponent
Deploy two defensive squads (S1 + S2).
Allow the enemy's main march to fail and slowly return home. Once their march has failed and is returning, counterattack using your S1 squad.
(2) Partially Filled DG vs. Similar-Power Opponent
Whenever possible, let the enemy attack first.
Continuously heal small batches of troops to keep restoring your troop count. Keep only enough troops in your DG for your wall defense (S1 + S2), minimizing troop deaths if a defense fails.
Because attackers generally suffer greater troop losses, you gradually gain the advantage through attrition.
(3) Facing a Whale
Run
Your first strategy is simple: run. Try to use the VS TP, since it doesn't require all of your squads to return before teleporting.
If escape isn't possible, adjust based on your hospital capacity.
Hospital Full
Send all your squads out of your base to reduce the number of troops in your DG.
Accept approximately 3,000–6,000 troop deaths if you can't escape.
Hospital Has Available Capacity
Leave only S1 defending. Send S2, S3, and S4 out of your base.
This minimizes troop deaths while allowing approximately 10,000–20,000 troops to be transferred into your hospital after being attacked.
(4) Outnumbered on Black Soil
If you're immediately targeted after entering Black Soil but there are no enemy whales nearby:
- Let S1 and S2 focus on defense if they can defend successfully.
- Use S3 and S4 to attack empty bases or bulldoze.
- Heal continuously in small batches while keeping only enough troops in your DG for your wall defense.
Objective
The goal is simply to maintain your position on Black Soil with minimal troop loss.
Low-Cost Offensive Strategy
Once your total troop count drops below your hospital capacity, stop trying to heal all of your troops. Switch to a low-cost offensive approach.
Only heal enough troops for your S1 squad (for example, keep around 3,000 troops in your DG).
Then:
- Attack bases whose defense is much weaker than your S1.
- Attack empty bases.
If additional troops remain, let your other squads bulldoze ruins or attack empty bases.
Don't defend your own base
It's okay to be ashed — you won't lose anything except a small amount of resources.
Keep your DG nearly empty while your remaining troops stay safely in the hospital.
If your base gets ashed, simply return using Cross-Server Relocation and an Advanced Teleport.
SVS eventually ends, and life goes on. Keeping 10,000–15,000 troops is more than enough for normal daily activities afterward (MG, ZS, etc.).
Black Soil Mechanics & Rapid Attacking
How Black Soil movement rules work, and how to chain attacks while they're in your favor.
(1) Special Black Soil Mechanics
Bases located on city or outpost Black Soil cannot be chain-marched.
(The Capitol Black Soil area is an exception during the Capitol Battle.)
Use nearby tiles as movement anchors for fast repositioning and attacks.
If an enemy attacks from outside Black Soil, they must first leave Black Soil before marching again.
If they attack after entering Black Soil, marching speed limitations usually provide enough time for you to escape. You can even ignore them completely by using the low-cost offensive strategy.
(2) Rapid Continuous Attacks
Select an enemy base and launch an attack.
Immediately tap the base again, open the marching squad, and watch the countdown.
The moment the countdown reaches zero, launch another attack immediately.
This allows rapid double attacks. Since your troops are returning home, tapping the base again automatically selects your strongest nearby squad, making it possible to execute 2–3 attacks in rapid succession.
Summary
Four habits that carry the rest of this guide.
(1) Enter Prepared
Start with:
- Full DG
- Empty Hospital
Enter Black Soil early and move close to the Capitol.
Recommended squad assignments:
- S1: Capture buildings.
- S2: Defend.
- S3: Single-hero bulldoze or attack empty bases.
Keep healing small batches of troops throughout the battle to maintain your endurance.
(2) Never Stop Scouting
Never stop scouting. There will always be weaker players and undefended bases on the battlefield. Always choose targets weaker than yourself.
Even against whales, if their S1 has left their base and your S1 is stronger than their remaining defensive squad, you can still attack successfully.
This is how you defeat stronger opponents through smart target selection instead of brute force.
(3) Hide Your True Target
When attacking Target A, first march toward a point near or behind the target. Once your squad gets close, switch to Target A.
Using movement paths this way makes your attack less predictable and reduces the target's reaction time.
(4) Control Black Soil
SVS is ultimately won by whichever side controls more players on Black Soil. Even a VIP18 player only has four squads, and one or two of them usually have to stay home for defense.
If you understand:
- Troop preservation using squads and hospitals.
- Continuous small-batch healing.
- Efficient attrition management.
Then don't be afraid to enter Black Soil. Don't be afraid of being ashed. Once your total troop count falls below your hospital capacity, you enter what is effectively your “invincible phase.” At that point, all you need to do is keep using your S1 squad to attack weaker targets.
Invincible phase
Meanwhile, when others attack you, you have almost nothing left to lose.
